Anode Powders
Information guide
The SOFC anode is the site of the oxidation of the fuel and must have several properties: good catalyst of the oxidation reaction, good conductivity of the oxide ions to the reaction sites, compatibility with the electrolyte, good electronic conduction, good mechanical resistance because of the water produced at the anode.
The most used anodes today are cermet composites of Ni-YSZ type combining good electrocatalytic properties and high electronic conduction of nickel with the high ionic conductivity of materials such as yttria stabilised zirconia (YSZ)
Neyco offers a wide range of powders for your SOFC anode needs. These include, but are not limited to
- Nickel oxides
- Mixed powders: NiO/YSZ, NiO/GDC.
